Park Forest is a large village located in Will and Cook counties just south of Chicago, IL. As of 2010, the total population of the village was nearly 22,000. The community is surrounded by Olympia Fields, Chicago Heights, Richton Park, and University Park, and it consists of nearly five square miles of total area. Park Forest is a hilly village with several forest preserves located in and around it. The Metra system operates rail service to the downtown Chicago area from Park Forest, providing employment opportunities for local residents.

Park Forest is home to several attractions that may appeal to Chicago area residents and visitors. Art enthusiasts may enjoy a trip to the Tall Grass Arts Association Gallery, while history fans may prefer an afternoon trip to the 1950’s Park Forest House Museum.
