About Olympia Fields, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Olympia Fields, Illinois is a Cook County village with a population of nearly 5,000 residents. This community is known for being one of the most affluent “majority black” communities within the U.S., and it also has one of the lowest crime rates in all of the Chicago metro area. There are two stations for the Metra Electric Main Line found in Olympia Fields, and this line provides easy access to both the University of Chicago and the Chicago Loop. Notable residents of Olympia Fields have included R&B Singer R. Kelly and Grammy Award-winning poet J. Ivy.

As a smaller community, Olympia Fields is only home to a few notable attractions. The Olympia Fields Country Club is responsible for much of this community’s growth, and this prestigious facility is ranked among the top 50 golf courses in the U.S. and within the top ten courses in Illinois. There are several notable shopping destinations found in this community, including Bizios Fresh Market, the GFS Marketplace, and Rising Star Brand Foods.

Olympia Fields is found within a humid continental climate zone. In the summer months, temperatures often exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and conditions tend to be quite humid. Summer heat waves can move into the area and last for several days, and thunderstorms with hail, tornados, and high winds are also possible. Olympia Fields residents will need to be prepared for harsh summer weather by having their home air conditioner properly serviced while conditions are mild during the spring.

Winters in the Olympia Fields area are usually snowy and cold, and normal high temperatures in January typically don’t exceed freezing. Residents will rely on their home furnace or heat pump systems during these months in order to stay safe and to prevent pipes and plumbing from freezing. These climate control systems will also be a necessity when ice storms, snow, and freezing conditions make travel hazardous.
