About Matteson, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Matteson, Illinois is a growing village found in Will and Cook counties. As of 2000, the population was just under 13,000 residents, but ten years later the population had grown to over 19,000 residents. Matteson is bordered by the communities of Olympia Fields, Park Forest, Tinley Park, and Richton Park. This community was formerly a major regional shopping center in the Chicago Southland, but the local Lincoln Mall closed in January 2015. However, there are numerous big-box retailers that are still located in Matteson.

Matteson is a moderately sized community, and there are several attractions located here. Despite the closing of the Lincoln Mall, other shopping opportunities are available in the community, including Matteson Plaza and the Marketplace at Matteson. The Matteson Historical Museum can provide visitors with information about the history of the community, and many residents host events at the Matteson Community Center. Outdoor recreational opportunities are also plentiful in this community at Notre Dame Park, Governors Trail Park, and Memorial Park.

The climate of Matteson is classified within the humid continental zone, and all four seasons will be distinctly represented. Autumns are pleasant and can lead to a snowy and cold winter. Average high temperatures in January will only reach the upper-20s, and severe snowstorms will periodically push into the area. When these harsh conditions strike, residents will need to spend most of their times indoors, and they will be grateful to have an efficient furnace system in place.

After a long, cold winter, Matteson residents are typically relieved when spring arrives. Spring tends to be rainy, but temperatures will quickly warm up to lead into a hot and muggy summer. Temperatures often reach 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so it is important for Matteson residents to be able to escape a cool place to stay safe.
