About Homewood, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Homewood, Illinois is a village located in Cook County, and as of 2010, it was home to nearly 20,000 residents. This community has been named by Forbes magazine as one of Chicago Metro Area’s most “livable” suburbs. Homewood is found on the Calumet Shoreline and is situated 22 miles south of the downtown Chicago area and The Loop. Residents can easily access Chicago for work or entertainment opportunities via the local Amtrak service.

There are several things to see and do when visiting Homewood. Golf enthusiasts may enjoy a trip to Ravisloe Country Club to play a round and to relax in the clubhouse. Homewood hosts a variety of events and activities for residents, including the annual Chocolate Fest, the Art and Garden Street Fair, Fall Fest, and an Independence Day Parade and Family Fun Fest. Shopping is popular in Homewood, as there are numerous specialty shops and boutiques located here, but there are also major franchises found along Halsted Street Corridor, including Kohl’s, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, and Bed Bath and Beyond. Shopping is also available at the Southgate Shopping Area and the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

Homewood is found within a humid continental climate zone, which is typical for Midwestern communities. The winters are typically snowy and cold, and high temperatures will only reach the low-30s in January. Dangerous driving and living conditions often result from freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall, so it is mandatory that Homewood residents have access to a reliable home furnace system.

In the summer months, temperatures in Homewood will reach the low-80s on average with high humidity, so residents will want to trade in their furnace or heat pump for an air conditioner. Not only can an efficient air conditioning system provide for comfortable interior conditions, but it can also improve indoor air quality.
